Insurance Account Specialist (Commercial Insurance)

Overview: Responsible for the servicing and retention of insurance customers. Proactively works with customers to provide resources, offer services, and understand their evolving needs during the policy year and at renewal. Responds to daily inquiries and handles agency billing. Facilitates workflow and identifies sales growth opportunities. Responsible for the handling, processing, and servicing of new and existing insurance customers.
Responsibilities:
  • Account Servicing - Responds to service requests and proactively identifies needs. Manages new and existing customer activities including policy check-in, renewals, cancellations, endorsements, and initial claim activity. Performs data entry, processing, and risk analysis. Ensures accuracy and compliance with all rules and regulations.
  • Sales & Support - Develops influential relationships with carriers and customers to achieve business goals and streamline service experience. Identifies sales, coverage, and additional opportunities for existing customers. Responsible for marketing, quoting, and proposal preparation of customer insurance programs. Key stakeholder in customer satisfaction and retention results.
  • Operations - Performs various operational tasks that occur during customer, carrier, and associate inquiries. Serves as primary point of contact for carrier and customer requests.
  • Reporting - Maintains customer notes, assuring proper follow-up and documentation through all elements of the relationship. Monitors claim activity for larger commercial risks and reports to appropriate parties as needed.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and 0 years of experience in Support or Customer Service or Insurance Agency OR High School Diploma or GED and 4 years of experience in Support or Customer Service or Insurance Agency
Preferred Area of
Experience: P&C Insurance
License or Certification Type: Property and Casualty License Required
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
