Responsibilities:

Front Desk Operations:
Greet clients and visitors warmly, providing a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and manage the appointment schedule efficiently.
Register and check-in patients, ensuring all necessary information is accurately collected.
Verify and update patient records, insurance details, and contact information.
Process payments, handle cash transactions, and issue receipts.

Client Communication:
Communicate effectively with clients, offering assistance and addressing their inquiries.
Provide accurate information regarding clinic services, procedures, and general pet care.
Offer sympathy and understanding during difficult times and direct emergencies to the appropriate veterinary personnel.
3.
Administrative Support:
Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with administrative tasks as needed.
Maintain a well-organized filing system for medical records and paperwork.
Handle clinic correspondence, such as reminders, follow-ups, and appointment confirmations.
4.
Clinic Maintenance:
Ensure the reception area is tidy and presentable, creating a pleasant environment for clients and their pets.
Monitor and restock office supplies as necessary.
Collaborate with other staff members to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
5.
Compliance and Protocols:
Adhere to clinic policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure smooth clinic operations.
Promote compliance with vaccination requirements, health regulations, and client guidelines.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Proven experience as a receptionist or in a customer service role is preferred.
Passion for animals and a basic understanding of veterinary terminology is advantageous.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
Strong organizational abilities to manage appointments and maintain accurate records.
Computer proficiency and the ability to use veterinary software for appointment scheduling and record-keeping.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and remain composed under pressure.
Compassionate and empathetic demeanor when dealing with clients' emotions and concerns.
Reliable and punctual with the flexibility to work Tuesday to Friday from 8:
00 AM to 5:
00 PM.
Working Hours:
The Veterinary Receptionist position at Carolina Veterinary Dermatology Clinic operates on the following schedule:
- Tuesday to Friday:
8:
00 AM to 5:
00 PM Closed on Mondays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
