We are looking for a CNC Laser Machine Operator 1st shift (6:
30 am - 3:
00 pm ET).
This position will be based at our Wendell, NC location.
In this role, you will:
Operate Trumpf Fiber Laser Setup, program and maintain a fiber laser as well as monitoring and adjusting the cutting conditions to ensure high quality edges and products.
Load, setup and run offline programs for laser cutting metal parts.
Create and edit laser programs at the fiber laser as necessary.
Monitor laser cutting conditions and adjust as necessary.
Monitor dust collection and Nitrogen Generator as necessary.
Work directly with or under the direction of a Group Lead and/or Supervisor.
Read engineering drawings for steel & galvanized parts.
Work with a Laser programmer and engineer as necessary to address laser issues as they arise in operation and programming.
Work with ISO/work standards.
Complete confirmation documentation in a manufacturing data management system.
Clean and maintain equipment and work area to ensure functioning and safe working conditions.
Access and utilize various documents, with the use of computers, associated with the manufacture of products in assembly for completion of confirmations (e.
g.
, Quality and Safety Documents, Operating Instructions, etc.

years of experience in laser setup and operation.
Experience with selecting and changing Laser tooling and consumables.
Must be able to select appropriate nozzle, assist gas and cutting conditions for various metals.
Must be able to read 2D & 3D blueprints, apply basic shop math, digital literacy, and use of basic mechanical/measuring tools.
Must be familiar with CAD drawings in various formats.
Must be able to perform prescribed maintenance as required.
Speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language.
Work standing for the duration of a shift.
Stoop, bend, squat, crawl, and climb Must be able to reach, grasp, lift 50lbs, and push/pull/slide material.
Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
