Job Description:
Position Overview
Siemens seeks a professional NERC CIP Specialist to support Business Development and Training of Siemens NERC CIP program, specifically as it relates to NEC Patch Management notifications, testing, and implementation, Customer Consultations, and Educating internal and external partners on NERC Auditing requirements.
The work will happen at the Customer Lab, and or mock lineups, and at the Siemens lab in Wendell, NC. Additionally, implementation of patches at SVC, Series Capacitor, Synchronous Condenser and HVDC stations throughout the United States. Some travel is required; up to 20 to 45 percent travel for the year.
The position is to be located regionally in Raleigh, North Carolina at the Siemens facility in Wendell, North Carolina. The position provides flexibility to work from home during a portion of the week.
Roles & Responsibilities
+ Plans, develops, implements, and maintains the Siemens Patch Management programs to ensure compliance with related NERC CIP regulatory requirements, including developing and conducting compliance training programs to promote awareness and provide instructions regarding applicable regulatory compliance issues, in accordance with industry standards and requirements.
+ Provides guidance and support to Customers in understanding Siemens NERC programs, Remote Monitoring, Asset Identification to existing and new NERC and NRC compliance requirements in our transmission business unit.
+ Consults Customers on NERC compliance and auditing requirements and provides training to Customer personnel.
+ Entrepreneurial approach to meeting business objectives within the Customer Service Organization of Transmission Solutions.
+ Provide testing and installation of Patch Management for Customers.
+ Prepares and delivers presentations to external Customers.
+ Disseminates timely communication on all compliance-related matters.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Visio, Excel and Word.
Qualifications
+ Experience with Federal Compliance Standards: NERC CIP, NRC Cyber Security, SOX, , etc.
+ NERC CIP Audit experience, specifically from a GO/GOP perspective.
+ Bachelor?s degree required, in Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Electric Engineering, or a related technical field with appropriate experience.
+ Understanding of security principles and good knowledge of cyber security technologies, backed up with suitable credentials or certifications.
+ Experience with cyber audits, cyber security vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and the tools/techniques involved in both.
+ Experience in the capabilities and/or configuration of cyber security controls, specifically those relating to firewalls, , intrusion detection systems, access control, authentication, anti-virus/anti-malware, patching.
+ Strong effective written and oral communication skills.
+ Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
+ Ability to work with a team for support and cross peer both internationally and locally to achieve the objectives.
+ Ability to work at Utility (Electric Power) stations.
+ Demonstrated capability to make sound decisions based on good security practices and principles.
+ Demonstrated understanding of business principles and operational security practices specific to engineering and/or security consulting.
+ Experience with corporate policies and procedures and/or technical writing skills.
Required Experience
+ NERC CIP and SOX: 5 years
+ NERC CIP audit: 5 years
Required Education
+ Bachelor?s degree required, in Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Electric Engineering, or a related technical field with appropriate experience.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
